THIS WHICH CONNECTS US explores the vast importance of how technology, social media and other expanding communication norms is quickly making chemical and evolutionary changes to our physical and emotional ‘senses.’
Current studies show significant chemical changes in our brains because of this silent disrupter.

Texting, for example, is creating such a void to our sense of hearing, it's like not ever hearing music again."
One could say "But there are people who are born deaf!" In which case texting and social media communications has opened a whole wonderful world for them and that is what it should be used for... absolutely, as an ADAPTIVE TOOL.
We have become a world of exclusive texters and post our achievements and photos to the world on social media platforms.
It has become normal to text our mothers or fathers, who haven't heard your voice in a year, heart emoji's and flowers and a "I love you'" on their birthdays or mass holiday texts is now normal.
Most affected is family dynamics, or personal relationships… it is making it okay to also use it as a cop out or a weapon.
Pay close attention to every physical and emotional sense in your body and brain when you finally have a voice call or an in-person conversation ... with anyone! What are you feeling, seeing, touching, smelling, and hearing? And then a week later, write down what you remember in just one word, it will evoke a core emotional response!
These "core" emotional "tethers" will be all but gone over the next 50 years or less because of this new norm. We didn't even have texting 15 years ago and look how it has become the exclusive mode of communicating EVERYTHING!
